Hillarious!

Because of inventory for Scott this past weekend I went to our ward to teach my lesson and take the Sacrament. When I arrived home I was so exhausted that Scott let me take a nap (you would be tired too if you went to bed at 2:00 a.m. waiting for the love of your life then get up at 9:00 to get your hiny to church. To top it all off I'm eight months pregnant). He then took the girls to my parents Sacrament Meeting.

Apparently my parents bishop spoke, and one of the things he spoke about was an experience that either he had or some one he knew had.

Well this person was on a guided tour in Switerland or Sweden and the tour guide says to the tourists, about a church they were touring:

"Can you see the Church? (Yes) Can you see the Steeple? (Yes) Can you see the Stain Glass? (Yes) Can you see God? (No) Because that's because he doesn't exsist."

Then one of the tourists says out loud for all to hear:

"Can you see the tour guide? (Yes) Can you see his brains? (No) That's because he doesn't have any."

I couldn't agree more!

Catch Up!

So I'm bored and tired today so I decided to catch up on things. So here they are!

Family Pictures 2009

Here are some pictures we took yesterday. We had a family picture day and had a great time. These shots were taken by Scott and myself. There are a lot more, but Matt has those. Anyway there were some good ones and I can't wait to get them printed! It's so much fun having two photographers in the family!
Lilly was done at this point. (We're going backwards)
Pretty Lilly
Sassy Adelle
Lilly and Maga
Something Scott and I do a lot these days. Laugh and look ridiculous doing it (at least I do)
That's me.
So there are a lot of silly pictures of everyone in this post so I guess I better put some silly ones of me too.
The Thinker? No Scott

Our Family (Love family photos when I'm pregnant)

And Mom and Dad again.

Tibble Fork

Camping Trip #2.
We went this time to Tibble Fork up American Fork Canyon. This trip was so much better. We went with Justin, Jayanne and their kids. There was no stream to play in and friends to occupy the girls. So here are some more pictures.

Tibble Fork Resivoir
The Back side of Lone Peak (and two grumpy girls)
At the mouth of American Fork Canyon waiting for Justin and Jayanne.
Grrrrrrrrr!
Playing in the Creek
Lilly doing her favorite thing to do around water, throw rocks.
The bandaides on the side of her face were due to an unfortunate event that morning. She was sitting in the van and the door was open. She leaned over to reach for something and bonk! Landed head-first onto the curb. It sounded much worse than it was. She escaped the escapade with only a Scratch. Lucky kid.

Fire!

Tanner's Flatts

Here a couple of pictures of the girls at our first camping trip of the season. We went to Tanner's Flatts and it was an okay trip other that when we were setting up camp we couldn't keep the girls out to the little stream nearby. Luckily they didn't get too wet and weren't freezing all night long.
But after meltdown after meltdown I was ready just go to bed. But the next day I got to sleep until noon and Scott and the girls went exploring.

What's New about Adelle

There are a couple of new things about Adelle. Can you guess what they are?

I'll give you a hint...

And...
If you guessed that Adelle had her ears pierced and lost her first tooth you are right! Anyway about a month and a half ago Adelle lost her first tooth. It was a night Scott was working late and we were at my mom's house. Well Adelle was freaking out about how wiggly her tooth was so we all decided to have my dad pull it out. She then was so relieved to have it out and the Toothfairy came that night and left a dollar under her pillow.

Then when she got her ears pierced I was not wanting to do it, but Scott and my mom decided it was time, and the only thing holding me back was money. So I agreed and we went to Claire's. She picked out her flower earings, sat in the chair held the bear tight, and when the girls pierced her ears she began to scream... with delight. I wish I had brought my video camera, it was hillarious how loud and happy she was about getting them pierced. It was worth the $40 to have her so happy, but next time it won't be such and impulse.

My girl is growing up!

Napptime Buddies

About a month ago Scott's mom was having some trouble with her health so Scott, the girls, and I spent a couple of nights at her house to help Jennifer take care of her. Well after a particularly long night I caught these two napping.

Too Cute!

Very Last Dance Class.

Here are the pictures (finally) from Adelle's Parent observation class with Miss Kim. (The Class was May 25th) Anyway there are some fun one's of Adelle and Lilly (who observed very well and was hoping the entire time. She was invited to dance during the free dance and the end and show off her Reverance)
Adelle is almost as tall as Miss Kim, so during the freeze Dance Miss Kim had to pick her up sideways.
Notice Miss Kim's Feet (how it should be) Then notice Adelle's Feet. Love it!
This photo is entitled "Wishing"
I love this picture of Adelle following Miss Kim's instruction.
The end of the class and clapping for a great session. (After Lilly was able to dance with the class)

Sharing?

Since the day Lilly was born she has not been a "sharer". She is very possessive and is known to cry when one of her toys is being played with by someone other than herself. When asked to give something to someone else she will respond with a pouty face and shake her head in the negative or she usually says "I can't".

Then on Father's Day Lilly was "finished" eating (not much of an eater either) and not wanting to finish her dinner gave it to my Dad. Then coming to me in the house letting me know the kind deed she had done.

"Mommy I gave Bocca my dinner. Wasn't that nice of me?"

Sure kid.

Then two nights ago we were all eating one of my cravings: Lofthouse sugar cookies. When Adelle and I were finished we went outside leaving Scott and Lilly in the house to finish their cookies.

Lilly turns to Scott at that point and says:

Lilly: "Daddy would you like the rest of my cookie?"
Scott: "Don't you want it?"
Lilly: "No"
Scott: "Okay"
Lilly: (handing Scott the last half of her cookie) "Can I have a bite of your cookie?"

In your boy voice!

For those of you that know my husband you know that he is about one of the silliest people around.

As part of our nightly routine we as a family sing an Article of Faith to help the girls learn them for primary. The other night we were singing the song and of course Scott is being silly and singing in his falsetto voice.

Adelle then says to him:

"Daddy next time sing it in your boy voice."

Help! Beware Women Stuff ahead.

I need some help from some of you mothers that nursed your babies out there. I have had so much trouble with nursing, and I need advice from the mothers in my life.

First let me tell you about my nursing experience with both of my girls. Adelle would nurse for an hour at a time when I first brought her home. Then my doctor told me it was too much, so I cut back and at four months on the dot I started her on rice cereal, because she always seemed hungry. I don't think that Lilly got enough nourishment from my breast milk alone or my milk production went down because of my use of a nipple shield. With both girls I had mastitis, a yeast infection and my nipples and my areola cracked and bled.

My biggest concern at this point is the cracking. It was so bad that both of my girls spit up blood, my blood, more than once. I feel I can get through the rest of it, but the dread of nursing because it hurts so bad is something I am NOT looking forward to.

I'm really afraid that this is going to happen again, and my poor son won't get nursing experience that my girls did because I'm so done dealing with this. I'm tempted to just buy a really nice pump and do what my sister-in-law did for a year with her son, pump and then feed. (But she did it with a manual pump!) I don't want to have to do this because it sounds way time consuming.

I'm going to talk to my doctor about it, but I was hoping that I could get some advice from you lovely women who might know what I might be able to do.

Thank you so much for all your advice.
