So a couple of days ago, while I was on the computer, Adelle decided that she wanted a piece of cheese. Not coming and asking me (she probably knew full well that I would have told her to wait a minute) Adelle helped herself to the cheese. Well in previous cheese cravings Adelle would just take huge bites out of the cheese, but this time she decided it would be best to cut herself a piece of cheese. So she got out one of our steak knives and proceeded to turn our block of cheddar into many mountains and valleys of carved cheese. In the process Adelle cut herself. But again she did not come and to share this small cut with me she took care of it herself.
After a period of time I thought it was too quiet and ventured downstairs to check on Adelle. Well when I arrived at the kitchen I looked on the floor expected Adelle to be there and all I saw was the mountainous cheese and the knife. I then looked onto the counter and there's Adelle getting herself a band-aid. I couldn't believe my eyes there was a little bit of blood on the cheese, and some on the counter, but she was calm and collected and completely fine. I was a little miffed at first but then I thought well she took care of it all by herself!

First Dance Class
So as the previous post implied I am not a good mother right now! This morning was Adelle's first dance class of the semester, and I didn't take one lousy picture! Not only that we were about 5 minutes late! I woke up late and that was the end of that!
She did so well though. I have told many of you that the second week of her dance class this summer Miss Kim pulled me aside and informed me of my "free-spirit". But dispite Adelle's free-spirit Miss Kim has been very patient and so good for Adelle. Adelle loves Miss Kim and whenever she is close enough she loves to touch her face! (One way Adelle shows affection)
But today she did her plies with the other girls and really tried hard to concentrate on what was going on she waited her turn and did everything (within Adelle's capabilities) that she was supposed to! Which was surprising because of her 4 week break she still kept up and listened to instructions. I'm so proud of her!

Ups and Downs
So why do we have to have ups and downs? I was just feeling so good about everything and this week happened. My perfectly clean house is a wreck, my daughters are dirty, and watched far too much television that I usually allow, I've been going to bed at midnight and getting up at 8:30 or 9:00 it is so frustrating!!! All I want to do is read Harry Potter (I'm on the 4th book, excellent read by the way) I don't know I feel like I'm pushing through this, but I don't feel the same as I did last week. Any advice?
I just wish that I could always be together, and have everything perfect! HA! That's a funny one Kimbur!

My Funny Girls!
So I just wanted to update you all on some of the funny things Adelle and Lilly are doing these days. One of the funny things she keeps telling me is "Mom you make my love." Then the other day she was telling Scott and I something very interesting.
Adelle: "We are thankful for the life of bread."
Mom: "Do you mean the Bread of Life?"
Adelle: "Yeah"
Mom: "Do you know who the Bread of Life is?"
Adelle: "Jesus"
She is so smart and picking up on things so well. We have starting reading chapter books to challenge her a little bit, and it has barely been a challenge at all. We started reading "James and the Giant Peach" and every time we begin I quiz her on what is going on in the book. At first she needs a little coaxing to jog her memory, but she can tell me about what is going on and remembers! Her reading comprehension is really good and the kid is not even 4 yet!! She is also doing much better in Primary, and has been such a joy to have in our home!
Lilly has also been doing wonderful things! She talking more and more. She says all sorts of things and is no longer whining when she needs something. She says "help" when she needs help. She says "drink" when she wants a drink. And says "mo" (toast) when she wants bread. She also for the first time yesterday said a blessing on the food. I was working on lunch and I look over and she's folding her arms and talking gibberish. She went on for a minute and stopped and I coached her to say "In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen" and she did and we went on with our lunch. She is so independent and it amazes me how much of a mind of her own she has because Adelle did not communicate as well as she does. Adelle's enunciation was excellent at that age, but she didn't speak her mind like Lilly does. Also, unfortunately Lilly is getting into the "No" stage. To me it is always funny for the first little while, and then it gets old real quick!
Any way I just though that I would give you all a brief update on what my girls are doing these days!

Truly the Joys in Life!!
So briefly, I just want everyone to know how much I love my life!!! There are so many reasons why. I have wonderful children, a wonderful husband, only 9 months left of being a college-student-widow, and I am me!!! I feel like I am becoming the person that I want to be!! It has taken a while, but I feel like I'm finally getting it!
I don't know why, but after Adelle was born I really loved being a Domestic Engineer, but I felt like something was missing. But when Adelle turned about 18 months I finally got into the groove of not working in the work place, (and ask my employers I am much better suited to be a Domestic Engineer!) but shortly there after we lost our car, and we were trying to sell our small condo, trying to get pregnant, and then finally did, I fell into depression. I struggled for a a couple of months and finally came to the point where I was functioning normally, but not to the best of my ability. So after Lilly was born I thought for sure I would bounce quickly back, but I didn't. I feel like I have struggled the past 17 months to get me back. But after we moved here to the townhouses I feel a change has come over me, and I feel like me again!!
It is the greatest feeling in the world!! The best part about it is that I appreciate so much what I have, because of the time that I didn't have what I wanted, and that was a together woman who does what's best for her and her family!! It's such a wonderful feeling to be me, and enjoy my family, my job, and everything that is the most important! That is truly a Joy in my Life!

New Schedule
So I haven't been posting as often as I would like these days. I have myself on a good schedule and I don't schedule myself time to blog everyday because some days I have nothing to blog about. Anyway, yesterday the girls, Scott and I went to the Aquarium in Sandy. (I didn't take pictures, what is the matter with me? You would think a photographer like myself would have the thing plastered to me, but unfortunately I'm fashion conscious too, and I don't like having the heavy thing around my neck all the time)
Well we had lots of fun and ran into the Rasmussens. Adelle's favorite part was petting the rays, but I don't know if she enjoyed petting them as much as just splashing in the water. Lilly was afraid of them, which I expected. But these creatures were so funny. They would come right up to the edge of the petting pool and almost jump out to get you to pet them, it was hilarious! Scott said that they reminded him of dogs, most of them were that friendly!
After the Aquarium we went to Macey's to get ice cream cones. (Which Scott and I regretted today when Adelle was puking it up!) So after ice cream we came home to put the girls to bed and Adelle was struggling, so Scott told her to dream of the fish so when I was brushing my teeth after she had gone to bed she came out and told me "I'm having a fish dream," and then went right back to bed! That girl makes me laugh so much!
