Lillyism

it is still so funny to me how sponge-like kids are. since i have been pregnant scott and i have talked to the girls about how there is a baby in my tummy and lilly has decided that there is a baby in her tummy too. 

lilly has also noticed as i have progressed through this pregnancy there have been things that i cannot do as much as i used to.  one of which is carry lilly and there is now very little space on my lap for her. i also can't carry things that are very heavy etc.

as mine and lilly's "pregnancy" have progressed i have found that my three year old has become more helpless than me.  when asking her to do things to help me out (granted she's three the tasks aren't too daunting: carry your toy in from the car, pick up your clothes) i often hear the response:

"i can't i have a baby in my tummy"

then on mother's day she came up to my dad poking out her tummy and said:

"can you feel my baby?"

as i have mentioned before my children LOVE looney tunes, and continue to pick up new words and sayings that have come from that show. as we were discussing lilly's baby at the dinner table we asked her what her baby's name is.  she then responed very quickly:

"canasta"
